As the journey continues, the proponent decided to continue GPA, short for Grading in Education. The respondents composed of students and professors still have a problem regarding how they will manage and do their academic tasks, especially now that we adapt to the new normal where technology is becoming a trend. For the third week, We are to survey what problems people nowadays face during the pandemic. During this survey, the participants are the school student of Central Mindanao University; some are Valencia National High School students and are professors.
We gathered information from our fellow students and professor. We identified many of their troubles; most of them have difficulties writing and checking their reflection, essay, and blog. Internet connection is one of the problems for students and professors, especially now that we adapt to the new normal. The professor faces a problem in checking hundreds of files sent by the student. Rating this reflection, essay, and blogs one by one is very time-consuming while students have trouble writing a reflection, essay, and blogs.
As we continue the said program, the proponent decides to develop the product further. A program accessible through the web and downloadable offline, GPA short for Grading in Education. It is a service application that assists students and professors. The app is programmed to check the said files’ grammar; it also rephrases the sentence into more prominence, rates the works by checking it. Another tool that has been added by the group is that it can summarize the said message uploaded by the user; the app also features a vocabulary enhancement where the said setting maximizes the use of synonyms to further change words in each sentence.
This program’s uniqueness is that it is available offline, making it more accessible another feature will be added to this program as we progress. This program will help students correct their wordings and sentences, providing clarity to their work, making it more engaging to the reader, and helping make the right impression.
Before we decided to change our product, we pick from the products and services that we have proposed. The first one is a grammar checking site, the second one is about the student loan, and the third one is a delivery platform. As weeks go by, our respondents increase from eight to a total of the sixteenth presently. Our respondent changes problems, having a majority of the paperwork, and that is how we end with GPA.
As midterm is around the corner, students and professors are busy doing their tasks. The professor manages hundreds and hundreds of files sent by the students; the proponent is thinking that for the next blog, the proponent can help ease the problem being encounter by our professor. by adding a tool that can make works efficient and organize.
The uncertainty of Covid-19 has put many people’s mental health and wellbeing under immense strain. Teachers experience stress trying to juggle online learning with school rotas and, in many cases, also trying to home-school their children. Same with the students, helping their family with the household chores while solving their academic works. Self-compassion will help us during this time of the pandemic, let extend our compassion to one’s self in instances of perceived inadequacy, failure, and general suffering.
